WHO WE ARE

The Coos County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a force of dedicated volunteers who stand ready to support the community in the event of a public health emergency. The unit is comprised of medical, public health, and allied health professionals who, along with interested non-medical professionals and community members, volunteer their skills, expertise and time to support ongoing public health initiatives and assist during emergencies throughout Coos County.

WHAT WE DO

Preparedness. Response. Leadership. Community Resilience.

Coos County MRC activities include: Emergency Preparedness and Response Training, Health Screenings, Community Outreach & Education, Underserved Community Outreach & Education, Disaster Risk Reduction, Community Event support, Planning Logistical & Administrative Support, Health Education & Promotion, Environmental Health, Flu Shot Clinics, and Opioid Rapid Response Team.

Our mission is to augment local community health and medical services during a disaster; public health emergency or community public health event with pre-identified, equipped, trained and credentialed volunteers.
